Site Suitability & Design Notes
The plans for this kitset do not carry a wind, snow or earthquake zone, and the design parameters ask the client to confirm all parameters where full building consent plans have not been supplied. Confirm your site’s wind and snow zones and ground conditions with our team before ordering, and tell us promptly about any change once your quote is accepted.
Studs are set at 1220mm centres — confirm this suits your chosen glazing or cladding before ordering. There is no bracing design allowance in the price, and no allowance for architectural design or detailing. All window and door opening sizes on the plans are frame opening sizes, and SFML supplies frame-to-frame connections only unless other arrangements are made.
Through our in-house design team we can handle your building consent documentation and amend existing plans to suit steel framing, and each frame can be customised to fit your own requirements.
